History

The Centre has conducted and contributed several research projects and organized more than 30 conferences until now. One of the projects titled “Public Opinion on the EU issues: Case of Çankırı” has been financed by Çankırı Karatekin University in 2011. In this Project, research is conducted on the public perceptions of the EU in Çankırı based on a questionnaire and an article is published regarding the results. The Centre has also participated in various activities of a Jean Monnet Project directed by Jen Monnet Chair of Ankara University (2013-1014). In this Project some conferences co-organized on the EU issues and a distance learning course supervised on the EU economic integration given by Ankara University professors. Currently the Centre has been the local coordinator of the Heart of Anatolia European Centre of Excellence (ANAMER) Project funded by Jean Monnet Programme of European Commission and coordinated by Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University since 2018. This Project envisages various activities including teaching mobility, event organization and book editing. Besides three students had the opportunity to attend summer school in Paris on the EU issues within this project.
